Terms & Conditions

These Terms & Conditions govern the relationship between Coglight ("we", "the workshop") and any person ("you", "the client") who submits a watch for service or makes use of this website. By leaving a watch in our care, you agree to these terms.
1. Our services
Coglight offers watch servicing, cosmetic refinishing, and restoration work as described on this website. All services are carried out on the basis of an agreed scope confirmed with the client before work begins. We do not proceed with any work without explicit client authorisation of the agreed scope and price.
2. Estimates and pricing
Prices shown on this website are starting figures for each service tier. An exact price is confirmed following an assessment of the piece, before any work is carried out. If additional work is identified during a job, we will contact you before proceeding. You are under no obligation to authorise additional work.
All prices are quoted in Thai Baht (฿). Payment is due on collection or return of the watch.
3. Assessment
Initial assessment of a watch brought to or sent to the workshop is carried out at no charge. We will share our findings and a proposed plan with you. You may decline the service at this point with no cost to you, subject to any reasonable courier or packaging costs if the watch was sent by post.
4. Client responsibilities
When leaving a watch in our care, you confirm that:
- You are the owner of the watch or have the owner's authority to have work carried out
- You have provided us with accurate information about the piece's condition and history, to the best of your knowledge
- You understand that repair work on older or previously modified movements may reveal further issues that were not apparent during initial assessment
5. Care of watches in our custody
Watches are logged individually on arrival and stored securely while in our care. We take reasonable precautions to protect pieces left with us. In the unlikely event of loss or damage caused by our negligence, our liability is limited to the reasonable cost of repair or replacement of the affected component, up to the assessed value of the watch at the time it was accepted.
We are not liable for pre-existing damage or conditions that were not apparent at the time of acceptance.
6. Parts and materials
Where replacement parts are required, we source appropriate components as close to original specification as reasonably possible. For vintage pieces, period-appropriate equivalents are used where originals are unavailable. Any parts sourcing is discussed with you before being carried out.
7. Collection and return
We will contact you when your watch is ready. Please collect or arrange return within 30 days of notification. We will make reasonable efforts to contact you. Watches left uncollected beyond 90 days may, at our discretion, be subject to a storage charge or — after further notice — disposed of in accordance with Thai civil law.
8. Postal and courier
If you send a watch by post or courier, you do so at your own risk. We recommend insured, tracked shipping. We are not responsible for loss or damage in transit to or from the workshop. We can advise on suitable packaging if asked.
9. Warranty on work carried out
We stand behind the quality of our work. If a fault develops directly related to work we carried out, please contact us within 90 days and we will assess and address it at no additional charge, provided the watch has been used normally and has not been opened, adjusted, or damaged after collection.
This does not affect your statutory rights under Thai consumer protection law.
10. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Kingdom of Thailand. Any dispute will be subject to the jurisdiction of the Thai courts.
11. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. The current version is always published on this page. Continued use of our services after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
